About me
Hello, I'm Jakub Michálek, a passionate web developer and IT professional from the Czech Republic. With years of experience in various domains, including web development, software architecture, IT project management, database solution architecture, API development, DevOps, graphic design, UX/UI, SEO, and cybersecurity.
My journey began with roles in network administration and telecommunication device servicing at OtavaNet s.r.o., where I honed my skills in network configuration and administration. Since 2022, I've operated as an independent IT administrator and PHP developer, delivering dynamic websites, robust IT systems, and efficient cloud hosting services. I have expertise in the LEMP stack, RDBMS, Symfony, Nette, and various other frameworks, ensuring scalable and secure web applications.
I've also contributed to projects at the Institute of Physics of the Czech Academy of Sciences, developing and upgrading web applications using technologies like PostgreSQL, the Nette framework, and Less.js. Currently, as a backend web developer and project manager at 1. Web IT in Prague, I focus on server-side logic, database optimization, API design, and application integration, while ensuring project integrity and performance.
My academic background includes a diploma in Information and Communication Technologies and studies in Physics at the Czech Technical University in Prague. Fluent in English and German, I bring a global perspective to my work. Whether designing database solution, optimizing sites for search engines, designing data intensive application or creating compelling graphics, I am dedicated to delivering exceptional solutions for my clients.
